Sponsor | rationale | Jul 8, 2008 9:53am | | 19: Ok, my apologies. I have encountered a few Holocaust deniers on StumbleUpon. I should have asked for elaboration of your view. I had not heard about the Madagascar Plan. Gotcha - you do believe it was deliberate. Sorry for the misinterpretation. |
|
| Sponsor | WasChabad | Jul 8, 2008 3:10pm | | Since they couldn't send them to Madagascar...and that's your puny excuse for killing millions. Tell me a few things you don't like that Israel has done in your lifetime that no other country in the world has done in your lifetime. |
|
| Sponsor | rationale | Jul 8, 2008 8:02pm | Please tell me who offered an excuse for killing millions, and what that excuse was. There WAS NO FUCKING EXCUSE. It was a sick and deliberate action. The Nazis and Hitler were sick and twisted. What are you talking about? Who denied that and what did they say that expressed denial over that?
Regarding Israel, just read the mainstream human rights watch organizations' reports. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch report horrific crimes perpetrated by Israel. And is your standard of morality and aggression really SO LOW so as to say that everything that Israel does is justified as long as NO OTHER COUNTRY has done it in my lifetime??? Please think this through. |

| Sponsor | Laukev7 | Jul 8, 2008 11:19pm | 22: There is nothing in my posts that give any excuse for what the Nazis did. I don't even give excuses for what Canada did.
23: WasChabad is a troll; I debated her in another forum and she did nothing but distort my words and back up her depraved worldviews with loads of nonsense. |
|
| Sponsor | WasChabad | Jul 9, 2008 8:21am | I am not a troll but #24 is great at calling names but not answering my questions. He can stop using Hitler all the time. Four months ago he was saying the US was soon going to attack Iran...I said they weren't. I will rephrase my question:
Tell me a few things you don't like that Israel has done in your lifetime that the US or any Arab country has not done in your lifetime. |
|
| Sponsor | imorgen | Jul 9, 2008 9:12am | The Israeli government blatantly censored someone via Google (not "debunked" as has since been alleged - I tried a Google image search for that several times over a period of months). I cannot however speak for #24. The point to me is that what is happening in Palestine/Israel is still going on and being funded by so-called democracies and the mainstream or rather, corporate, news coverage is rather biased.
...hence this forum, presumably. |
|
| Sponsor | WasChabad | Jul 9, 2008 11:23am | | All I ask for are examples. As far as Google goes, it's commonplace for all governments to censor things but I wouldn't call that horrific by any stretch of the imagination. |
|
| Sponsor | rationale | Jul 9, 2008 2:26pm | 27: I could write you a poorly paraphrased essay that lacked specifics, or you could use your brain to READ AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL'S REPORT and HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH'S REPORT. Israel has committed atrocities. President Mugabe of Zimbabwe has also committed atrocities. Does this fact make Israel's atrocities any less awful? Of course not. Your question/request is illegitimate because it assumes an EXTREMELY LOW standard of morality. The U.S. is a terror state, as is Israel. There are other awful nations, although none have violated international law to the same extent. Domestically, the U.S. is MILES better to live in than say Darfur. But all this is irrelevant to the question of Israeli atrocities.
amnesty.org/en/region/israel-occupied-palestinian-territories [amnesty.org/en/region/israel-occupied-palestinian-territories]
There you go. Follow that link. There are many examples there. Also, please do your own goddamn research. There are several examples of Israeli atrocities. They are MUCH GREATER in scale than Gazan atrocities, Arab atrocities, etc. U.S. atrocities are even worse, but Israeli atrocities are sickening.
25: In addition: Regarding that other forum, I won't comment other than the fact that Washchabad did not express intentions resembling intellectualism or debate, and that Laukev7's statement about the U.S. wanting to attack Iran is perfectly legitimate. Whether the U.S. carries that out is a different story, and at this point, speculation with maybe some anecdotal evidence, unless you are a White House insider. But all of that detracts from the issues in this forum, to which Waschabad is not posing remotely coherent questions. |

- Companies dumping waste on Palestinian agricultural land
- Settlers uprooting Palestinian orange and olive trees
- Roads / settlements for Jews only in Palestinian territory
- Settlers dumping sewage in Palestinian villages

- "We did all kinds of experiments to see who could do the best split in Abu Sneina. We would put them against the wall, make like we were checking them, and ask them to spread their legs. Spread, spread, spread, it was a game to see who could do it best."
- "There was a lot of theft... Once we were at these rich people's house in Hebron. We found a ton of dollar bills in one of the drawers. Insane. The commander said to the two senior guys in the unit, 'Okay, we'll split the money.' They split it. Left a little there and told me, 'If you talk we'll come back and slaughter you.'"
- "Then the soldier took a metal wire. He was really screwed up. Grabbed the Arab and started to twist it around..."
Interviewer: "On his hand?"
Soldier: "Yeah, he really twisted it. I tell you, we tried to stop him. 'No, I won't let him go. He lifted a hand on me, he'll be punished.' Around and around... Afterwards we tried to get it off and we couldn't, it actually made a groove in his hand. It was blue. And the guy is yelling, 'I can't feel my hand anymore.'
Name ONE thing Canada has done that comes close to this barbarity. Even British colonist atrocities centuries ago would only reach this level of depravity in places like Tasmania. As for the US, only things that would come close is Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo, probably in part because many of the neocon freaks in the Bush government are Israelis. |

| Sponsor | WasChabad | Jul 9, 2008 2:56pm | It's easy for you to say read this and that but alot of reading is very difficult due to my epilepsy. I was comparing Israel to the US not Zimbabwe. Just answer my question. You enjoy putting me down but you won't answer my question. Give me one example then.
I pray you don't have an accident that limits your abilities, so without putting me down which you have shown yourselves so capable of, just answer my question. You say you debate so well but all you can do is be nasty.
Thank you.
Many Israeli soldiers have been punished for doing things they should not do just as American soldiers have been punished.
There's a reason why special roads were built, why the wall was built and why there are closures on Gaza. It was done to stop suicide bombers.
City, state, and federal government in the US use eminent domain to take away and bulldoze American citizens houses. The houses are not taken away because the people haven't paid property tax or their mortgage. The houses are confiscated and bulldozed all over the United States because people with more money want that property to build.
Israel is not obligated to sell water or power to Gaza just as no other country is obligated to do so. Israel is not obligated to let Palestinians work or live in Israel. |
